compassion and empathy
Compassion is the ability to feel and understand the suffering or difficulties of others, coupled with a strong desire to alleviate their pain or support them. Empathy, on the other hand, is the capacity to put oneself in someone else's shoes, to truly grasp and share their emotions and experiences, without necessarily taking any action.
