determinism vs. indeterminism
Determinism is the belief that every event and action is ultimately determined by previous events and conditions, meaning that things happen in a predictable and inevitable manner. Indeterminism, on the other hand, suggests that some events and actions are not fully determined by past events and conditions, leaving room for chance and randomness.
