fallacy of composition in politics
The fallacy of composition in politics refers to the error of assuming that what is true for an individual or a small group is also true for the larger society or population as a whole. It occurs when one incorrectly infers that attributes or behaviors that apply to a part of a group will necessarily apply to the entire group.
