intrinsic and extrinsic motivation
Intrinsic motivation refers to the internal drives and personal enjoyment derived from performing an activity or task, wherein the individual is motivated by the inherent satisfaction and interest in the activity itself. Extrinsic motivation, on the other hand, involves external factors such as rewards, recognition, or punishment to motivate an individual to engage in a certain activity or achieve a particular goal. It is driven by external incentives rather than personal interest or satisfaction.
