man-in-the-middle (mitm) attacks
Man-in-the-middle (MitM) attacks refer to a cybersecurity technique where an unauthorized person intercepts and alters communication between two parties without their knowledge. The attacker positions themselves between the two communicating entities to eavesdrop, manipulate, or redirect the transmitted data, essentially gaining control over the conversation and potentially stealing sensitive information.
