priming and attention
Priming refers to the influence that a stimulus has on the processing of subsequent related information. It prepares the brain to better recognize, interpret, or respond to specific stimuli based on previous exposure or experience. Attention, on the other hand, refers to the cognitive process of selectively focusing one's awareness on specific stimuli or information while ignoring irrelevant or less important details. It determines what we consciously perceive and process in our surrounding environment.
