reductionist supervenience

Reductionist supervenience is a philosophical concept that states that the properties of complex systems can be explained or derived from the properties of their simpler components. It suggests that higher-level phenomena, such as mental states or social constructs, are dependent on and emerge from the underlying physical or biological processes. In other words, everything at a higher level is determined by and can be understood in terms of the fundamental properties of the lower-level components.
