stress and prediabetes
Stress refers to a psychological and physiological response to external pressures or demands, which can affect a person's emotional and physical well-being. Prediabetes, on the other hand, is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not yet classified as diabetes. It is usually a precursor to type 2 diabetes and can increase the risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. When stress levels are consistently high, it can contribute to the development and progression of prediabetes by affecting insulin sensitivity and increasing insulin resistance.
