cultural relativism and tolerance
Cultural relativism is the belief that all cultural practices, beliefs, and values should be understood and evaluated in the context of their respective cultures. It suggests that there is no absolute standard for judging one culture as superior or inferior to another. Tolerance, on the other hand, refers to accepting and respecting the differences in opinions, beliefs, and practices of others, even if they differ from one's own. It involves the willingness to coexist harmoniously with diverse cultures, ideologies, and perspectives without imposing one's own beliefs or values on others.
