ethnocentrism and cultural relativism
Ethnocentrism refers to the belief that one's own culture is superior to others, leading to the evaluation and judgment of other cultures based on one's own cultural standards. Cultural relativism, on the other hand, is the perspective that all cultures should be understood and evaluated within the context of their own values, beliefs, and practices, rather than from the viewpoint of one's own culture.
