performance improvement plans (pips)
Performance improvement plans (PIPs) are formal processes implemented by employers to address and resolve performance issues or deficiencies displayed by an employee. A PIP is designed to identify areas of improvement, set specific goals and actions, and provide a structured framework for the employee to enhance their job performance within a defined time period. It serves as a tool to support and monitor an individual's progress while allowing the employer to provide guidance and assistance to help the employee meet the expected standards or targets.
